[From Scyphozoa to the Tin Woodsman] In the future when we have our flying cars drive us to work or the park, diners are run by helpful aliens and our shopping malls are rife with helper robots, I want to step into one of those teleportation chambers and be one of the first Earthmen to see the new world they build on this new planet. I just know it's going to be beautiful.

In the article, Jamie describes the five new algorithms: 1) association rules, which finds rules in your data in the form A and B -"> C and is especially useful for large catalogs, 2) native Bayes, a probabilistic model that's particularly useful for classification and advanced data exploration, 3) sequence clustering, which combines expectation maximization clustering with sequence technology, 4) time series, which uses regression trees technology to detect patterns that exist across series, and 5) neural nets, which excels in finding complex relationships (think non-linearities) that would be missed by other algorithms.
