[Benjamin Christie, Australian Guest Chef Consultant] Virgin Atlantic Podcasts about New York with Loudish · 25 June 05 With my travels around the world, I have pretty much flown on most major airlines. However one that has slipped through the net has been Virgin Atlantic and after reading Richard Bransons autobiography “Losing my Virginity” I have been totally inspired to fly with Virgin Atlantic and experience the superior service.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Worldhum.com] World Hum: Travel Dispatches from a Shrinking Planet: Cheers to USA Todays Laura Bly for pointing out that this coming Wednesday, June 16 will mark the 100th anniversary of Bloomsday, the annual celebration of James Joyces classic novel, Ulysses. (The books entire narrative, with Leopold Bloom at its center, takes place in Dublin on June 16, 1904.) Ever since I took a seminar on Ulysses as an undergrad -- a course in which the Ulysses Annotated" book assigned to help make sense of the novel was twice as thick as the novel itself -- Ive sought out pub readings on Bloomsday. Not that I begin to understand all the nuances of the novel.
[Boingboing.net] Boing Boing: A Directory of Wonderful Things: The origin of the information that led to your post (via Fleshbot and other blogs) seems to be an article by the widely read but often less-than-accurately-reporting German daily Bild. All the information given is what can be found on the rather odd website borghild.de - the "information" given there can still be found here in an English translation.
[Themovieblog.com] Hammer Horror Productions rises from the dead: I'd love to see that kind of opportunity hot-house return to the film industry (on either side of the Atlantic) - right now the only recognisable person continually working in such a low-budget, experimental way is Michael Winterbottom, although quite a few other British directors with some industry clout (Danny Boyle, notably) seem to be heading in that same direction.
[1827consulting.com] 1827 Brand Blog: Autoblog's podcast for car enthusiasts is being sponsored by Volvo. For example, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic each present very different .
[Thefoodsection.com] The Food Section: Stolen Salad: Amid the gray doldrums of this winter freeze, I was inspired to make this fresh and vibrant salad of raw brussel sprouts, pecorino, lemon, and extra virgin olive oil.
