Tungsten E as an MP3 Machine

[Archived in Entry, Mp3 Cd Player]

Tungsten E as an MP3 Machine mrohde on 2003/11/07:

„With the old Clie N610, it was never an issue, since the 610 couldn't play MP3 files. Besides, back when I chose the Clie, I felt I really didn't need MP3 capabilities in a handheld, since I'd invested in a SONICBlue RioVolt MP3 CD player. Now, don't get me wrong - the RioVolt is an excellent piece of kit, especially for airline traveling or long road trips in the car. I can get 10-11 hours of music on a single CD-R disc....“

Some slightly related:

Lovin' the Treo 600

„Finally, and this is the tiniest nit to pick, I wish it had a feature that my Tungsten C has -- hold down a letter key to capitalize it. I really like that feature and I wish the Treo 600 had that as an available option. The Shift key isn't inconvenient...it's just that I often capitalize after-the-fact and the TC's approach lets me change my mind after the letter has been struck.“

Tungsten E Update: Month Two

„As I said, the Tungsten E has been a very nice machine and suits my needs very well. Maybe the only add-on I could see now would be an IR keyboard and maybe a larger SD card to carry more MP3 tunes, but these are certainly wants and not needs. I'm happy to have made the switch now and have found myself recommending the TE as a good all around device for friends who want alot of handheld for a low-budget price.“

GearBits: November 2003 Archives

„I have tried the keyboard on my Tungsten C and Sony Clie NX60, and I’m happy to say the keyboard worked great on both devices. In fact, I was able to use both Wi-Fi and the keyboard at the same time in my Tungsten C, making it easy to work on my e-mail and surf the web.“

Converjed: July 2003 Archives

„Expectations having been set suitably low by the reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The white "matrix" images of Zion Control were beautiful and the whole "life as a programme" proposition kept going well. Some of the fight scenes could have been shorter though....“
