[Knkisser.blogspot.com] Kwaya Na Kisser: Emily Haines: New Song!: more of classic Emily on Broken Social Scene records (see "Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl") than Metric. Word from Emily's myspace tells me this album "was written and recorded in Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto, and New York over the last four years, and features contributors including Sparklehorse's Scott Minor, Broken Social Scene's Justin Peroff, Stars' Evan Cranley, and Metric's Jimmy Shaw."
[Blogsarefordogs.com] blogsarefordogs.com » Blog Archive » Our Hell is a Good Life: I don’t really know what to think about Emily Haines, other than that she’s incredibly beautiful, both vocally and otherwise. Actually, I’m probably a little Haines-ed out. There are just so many versions to choose from. Metric, with the possible exception of “Police and the Private,” has never been my cup of tea. [Shaken & Stirred] Happy Friday: Still sick, but you'll feel better if you mosey over to the most excellent Noise for Toaster blog and avail yourself of Shan's commentary and three amazing tracks from Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton's Knives Don't Have Your Back (out later this month).
[SoundWord: The Best Music Blog Posts] Loud Pipes: And speaking of Death Cab, which I don't do much anymore, this video of Ben Gibbard and Decemberist Colin Meloy (aka the poster boys for major label indie) recently performed Blur's "End Of The Century" at one of those Revenge Of The Bookeaters shows. Only noteworthy because, well, I really like that Blur song.
[Rewriteable Content] Emily Haines Attacks! (or Im Trying To Get Y... : Beautiful women are death to my wellbeing, and I doubt I am alone in this phenomenon.
