[doctorvee] Ryan Morrisons iPod reads his mind. Lucky him! I dont have an iPod (Ive got my lovely iRiver instead!), but I do have iTunes. And the random mode is rubbish. Why does it keep on choosing the same albums? Does it really like Gorillazs first album that much? Why is it so eager to play Classics by The Aphex Twin? Mind you, having iTunes is good. Ive had time this week for a change, to listen to all sorts of crazy stuff”¦ From Björk to King Adora with all the usual crazy electronic stuff in between. Itll be interesting to see my Audioscrobbler chart this week. Tags: itunes...

doctorvee: I appreciate that a referendum was held in the North East of England, where the voters strongly rejected the idea of a regional assembly. However, the West Lothian Question needs urgent solving in my view. The only way to solve it would be to have national (or regional) assemblies that are all responsible for the same devolved matters, with Westminster responsible for the remaining reserved matters. Perhaps the government would have more luck convincing English voters that a national English assembly would be more in their interests.

Negro Please: weblog: past, present and future -tense: This weekend was mostly some dvd fun, a little work, a lot of hanging out with the folks, and the sd fair and a picnic with the lovely miss anna baby and the rest of the martino clan on Sunday. Some intriguing conversation about music and culture, some online freestylin', some discussion of sampling in the side bar, and some in person discussions recently about hip hop being a disposable art and the paradox between the idea that "music is a universal language" vs. "underground music staying true to its roots" is leading me to write something about it all and pull out some old public enemy CD's and some junior high traded mix-tapes. My words aren't quite coherent yet so that won't be appearing but the music on these mix tapes is quite eye opening.
