This is a great device. I do, however recommend it to the computer literate person. You have to be able to have enough patience to read through the manual and experiment with the software before you rush into downloading everything. So take your time and you will be rewarded.

The best feature is its sound. I hooked it up to some bose earphones and fantastic. The usb2 port is fast and accurate. You can do everything with the fantastic software. I have just scratched the surface and have over 1000 songs. I love downloading them from the web. I create my playlists and have a great time. I like the random feature which lets you basically have the machine cut loose and play your tracks at random.

I think it is the best machine on the market and highly recommend it to the serious music buff.

I warn you that you will have to download a new operating system and I was a little frightened at installing it but it works great.

One word of warning don't create a blank playlist and try to play it. This causes the player to hang but only until you use a paper clip to hit the reset button. And I havent lost anything yet.

So get one and have fun. By the way the battery is inserted so no problems when you need a new one and you can download everything just using windows media player. A fantastic deal.

Earbuds kinda hurt, not soundwise, comfortwise
People think it's crappy because no remote, (LAZY)

Comments: All in all this is a great mp3 player, i like the lcd screen, i use creative sound blaster audigy ex sound card, and to me sound blaster makes the best sound hardware EXCELLENT mp3 player, and if u dont like the software, use the notmad software, search for nomadness.net or sumtin to see how notmad is, drag and drop is in notmad!!!

the first thing that noticed was it was hard to figure out the controls. second, the face plate is not attached to unit and every time I put it down it popped of what pain [it is].
I sent it back the next day.
