[ Dust my Broom - Just us Bloggers eh!] Sunday dog in bale: Go here to My Heritage and upload your face”¦ It scans and looks to find a celebrity that you most closely resemble. My submission: My result: I have close to twenty versions of the song Autumn Leaves by various artists but I find myself compelled to listen to this one by Eva Cassidy over and over
[The All New Ewans Musings] Happy New Year, and My 2006 Predictions: of the smartphone market. Lies, damned lies, and statistics”¦ Music phones are going to sell by the bucket-load, but only because every phone with stereo MP3 playback will be counted as a music phone.
[Sysinternals.com] Mark's Sysinternals Blog: Sony, Rootkits and Digital Rights ...: I wonder if in the Sony executive collective mind the realization that this was a really big mistake is beginning to settle in & also wonder if others in the entertainment industry are taking very careful note of all this...I hope so!...I've nothing against 'piracy' of anyone's work being punished under the law but to view & punish everyone by assuming they're a 'pirate' at the point of sale of your wares is simply unacceptable & although as yet unaffected by this by living in the U.K. I am annoyed that this is now how the corporate mind now view 'we the public'...I've loved telling people about this for the last week or so & every time I do they are as outraged as me on the issue...Sony have certainly tainted their reputation with this action!...It requires a top level apology to rebuild some trust & fix it too!...Thanks Mark for outstanding stuff, absolutely brilliant!
[Lifehacker.com] Lifehacker, the Productivity and Software Guide: Way back last January in the pre-comments era here on Lifehacker, we posted a thread on life improvement in 2004. One year later, we’re posing the question to you: what most improved your life - software, hardware or otherwise - in 2005?
[Taint.org] Happy Software Prole: When I look at the stats produced on our spam traps, which get millions of messages per day from 11 countries all over the world, I see our spam catch rate being consistently over 98% and over 99% most of the time. We also don’t get more than 1 or 2 false positive reports from our customers per week, which can give an impression of our FP rate, considering the number of mailboxes we protect.
