Electric President
[Archived in Entry]
[ Brainwidth] Electric President is a collaboration between Ben Cooper and Alex Kane, both from Jacksonville, Florida, and who somehow ended up on Berlin’s Morr label. The music is a pleasing blend of glitchy electronica and indie songwriting, and reminds me of The Postal Service and Styrofoam, although the vocals remind me a bit of Brendan Brown from Wheatus.

sound.as.language.: Electric President create indie/electronic pop on par, and in many ways, exceed the great heights (pun intended) reached by The Postal Service a few years ago. While Electric President songs may not be as instantly catchy or memorable, the duo’s songs have a sneaky way of creeping into your soul in a beautiful way. (via Cosmos)
Taylor McKnight - //gtmcknight: Their sandwiches are always delicious and their gelato is the best ice-cream I've ever had. After we met up with Al, we headed to Common Grounds to see Electric President (who put out one of my favorite albums of 2006). (via Cosmos)
