Andrew Bird

[Stayfun] I’m starting to let music trickle back into my life after a hectic period of being in Scotland, working and watching football. Getting things flowing again is a selection of Andrew Bird live tracks of pretty fantastic audio quality.

Kristina Mänd Lakhiani: A few years ago, the most populist mayor our town has ever had, decided to take things in his hands and “bring some order” to the notorious street with exposed ruins. After a mock referendum, which represents nothing of the Tallinners opinion, he decided that the town needed a useless green patch in the middle of the old town. (via Cosmos)
Eat Sleep Drink Music: He plays a riff on one of the instruments then that riff is repeated over and over while he plays another instrument. Sometimes he lays three or four riffs over one another to create a very complex song, which is pretty impressive considering his band consists only of himself and a percussionist/organist Martin Dosh, who looks a lot like CAKE frontman John McCrea with his trucker hat and beard. myselfmyself: Anyway, all the heat and sweat reminded me of Bonnaroo just a little bit (minus, you know, the patchouli and all that), and I realized that when I did the original post(s) I did not have any of the actual tracks from Andrew Bird’s performance(s). Now he was the highlight of the festival for me (aside from Radiohead, obviously), so it seems only right that now that I do have the bootleg of his set, I should share it with you. (via Cosmos)
Muzzle of Bees: i had to miss the Wilco and Andrew Bird shows, but got to see Kings of Leon and My Morning Jacket. anyway, glad summerfest can bring acts like that at the same time headlining nickelback and hoobie. (via Cosmos)

[Oneloudernyc.com] One Louder: (A bit like the guy in line at Mini-Mutek NYC who asked me if we were at the Lansky Lounge.) Since Antena's opening slots for Andrew Bird ended up being cancelled - disagreements with the organizers, apparently - those of us in the crowd ended up being the only people to see the band's first visit to NYC in over 20 years. Antena's music has always seemed overlooked though - Camino Del Sol, their signature album, came out on Factory's relatively unheralded Benelux imprint and has never gotten much attention.
[Hybrid: The Broken] A Month... no! A Week of Much Memories!!: thankfully, Abel was there to save the day when he appeared to check how we were doing... he gave an energizing talk with them, before there were all called into groups to discuss on their .
